Client Requirement
Royal Mail required a solution that would secure the access point at their site in Coventry granting access to only authorised vehicles, including goods vans, articulated vehicles and small delivery vans. The solution had to create a uniform look in keeping with rest of the site.
APT Solution
APT determined that the best solution was to supply & install radio frequency controlled pair of barriers, mounted tip to tip. The advantage of this system would mean that larger vehicles had extra turning space into the gate entrance as the access road was at a sharp angle.
The APT barriers are activated by radio frequency fob and then closed by means of an in-duction loop. The barriers are also equipped with top & bottom skirts to stop pedestrians gaining access onto the site.
The system has proved to be a success meeting the uniform look required and was said by Royal Mail to be superior to all previous offerings.
