Flexy Bollards

APT are pleased to bring to market a new bendable bollard.  This bollard acts as the perfect mix between boundary security and passive safety. This rigid bollard will bend when impacted by a vehicle in order to minimise damage to the vehicle, bollard and foundation.

Applications

This bollard offers the perfect mix between perimeter security and passive safety.  The bollard looks and feels like a solid rigid structure but when impacted by a vehicle the bollard will gently bend.  If a vehicle continues to force the bollard it will continue to bend until it is at 90 degrees flush with the floor.  Once the vehicle has been removed the bollard will return to its upright rigid structure.

The bollard has been designed so that it will cause minimal damage to the vehicle whilst preserving the bollard and its foundations.  In most cases after impact the bollard does not need to be replaced or repaired, saving both time and cost.
